Sanasaryan Han bridges Istanbul’s heritage with its contemporary culture. Originally built in 1895 by architect Hovsep Aznavuryan, the neo classical l
andmark was carefully restored, preserving its historic façade while transforming the interior into a refined luxury experience. The architecture sets the frame. Art and craftsmanship define the atmosphere.
Guest rooms feature handcrafted copper pieces sourced from local artisans in Eminönü and the Spice Bazaar, alongside bespoke Erguvan flower motifs by Alika Aydar. Custom glass light installations and ceramic replicas of diplomas from the former Sanasaryan School in Erzurum add depth and narrative. Every detail reinforces the hotel’s cultural identity.
The collaboration between photographer and artist Harun Doğan and architect Efe Aydar resulted in the exclusive Momentum exhibition within the hotel. It adds a distinctive layer to the space and translates Istanbul’s poetic tension into a strong visual statement.
Sanasaryan Han positions itself not just as a hotel, but as a cultural platform with international relevance. show less
